Lisa Price














LISA PRICE has been actively involved in the venue management and ticketing industries for over 30 years.  After working for two years with BASS Victoria (now Ticketmaster), Lisa took up a role at the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), stadium manager of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and now runs her own business contracting to venue and events, RTO’s and training organisations. 

During her time at the MCG, Lisa was at the forefront of managing events at the venue including up to 50 games of Australian Rules Football (AFL) each year, AFL Grand Finals, international cricket, two Cricket World Cups, soccer World Cup qualifiers, Bledisloe Cup rugby union, state of origin rugby league and numerous concerts. In 2005, Lisa led the venue team in its liaison with M2006 for the delivery of the MCG as the main stadium for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.


Lisa was the MCC’s Event Operations Manager, chiefly responsible for major event planning and delivery of event operations. This role included the management of over 900 casual customer service staff and chiefly responsible for development and delivery of in-house training and day to day management of customer service delivery.   Prior to her departure in 2015 Lisa was the driving force behind the inception of the club’s CARE program, which has gone on to be and award recipient three years running by the Customer Service Institute of Australia.

Lisa is currently working with Federation University delivering Facility Management as part of the Bachelor of Sport Management course and Greenwich Management College delivering a Diploma of Event Management, Diploma of Business and Certificate IV in Project Management Practice and delivers professional development training for Bon Leisure. 

Lisa has a passion for education and development. Lisa has published a number of online training programs “Event Management for Beginners”, “The Art of Presenting” and a series of Emergency Management Courses and has students as far flung as Japan, Bosnia and Brazil! 

Lisa has a business degree in tourism management and a master’s degree in Event Management from Victoria University. Lisa is an accredited venue manager.  Lisa graduated from the Australian Public Venue Management School (now Venue Management School) in 2000 and was the recipient of the Ogden IFC scholarship for that year.  Other relevant qualifications include TAE40110 (TAE40116 equivalent) Certificate IV Training and Assessment and a statement of attainment Lead an Emergency Control Organisation (FSA).

Karen Mosley-Simpson











Karen Mosley-Simpson was the Executive Director of Entertainment for Marina Bay Sands, Singapore for 7 years where she managed all aspects of entertainment, events, theatres, ticketing and corporate sponsorships for the integrated resort.


Prior to working in Singapore, Karen was Director of Ticketing and Operations for the Venetian Resort in Macau, which included various Casino, Hotel, Convention & Exhibition and Venue operations across 6 major property resorts.


In Australia, Karen was the Ticketing & Tourism Manager for The Australian Open where she was responsible for the growth of the national and international tourism market for the Tournament, managing over 500,000 annual ticket sales. Karen also worked for Melbourne & Olympic Parks for 6 years as Box Office Manager, ticketing over 500 major events at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Sports & Entertainment Centre, Vodafone Arena and Olympic Park.

Karen has served as President of the Asia Pacific Ticketing Association (APTA) for over 12 years and was a Director for the International Ticketing Association (INTIX). She is also a graduate of Public Venue Management School (now VMS), INSEAD Executive Leadership and a member of SOBOM (Society of Box Office Managers U.K.) and the Venue Managers Association for over 11 years.
